About Puente

Built to make the scary decision safe.

Puente exists because getting quality, affordable care in Colombia is genuinely possible — but navigating it alone, from 2,000 miles away, without speaking the language, is hard. We remove all of that.

Our mission

Bridging Americans to care that's both excellent and accessible.

Colombia has world-class dentists, specialists, and wellness practitioners who trained internationally and work to international standards. Their fees — because of cost-of-living differences, not quality differences — are a fraction of US prices.

The problem has never been the quality of care. It's been the uncertainty of navigating it: Is this clinic real? Who do I call if something goes wrong? What if I can't communicate?

Puente Health & Concierge answers all of those questions before they come up, with one accountable bilingual human who has your back from the first conversation through recovery.

Trust is the product

Anyone can make a referral. We do the hard work of vetting providers and standing behind every recommendation. If a client has a problem, we have a problem.

One accountable human

No chatbots, no ticket queues, no anonymous customer service. One bilingual coordinator knows your name, your case, and is reachable throughout your experience.

You pay the clinic directly

This is non-negotiable. You contract with and pay your provider directly. Puente never handles medical funds — period. This keeps our incentives aligned with yours.

Transparency first

We tell you the real all-in cost before you commit to anything. No hidden fees, no surprise upgrades, no misleading headline prices.

Provider vetting

Our vetting standard

We only recommend providers we'd send our own family to. Here's exactly what that means.

01

License verification

We verify each provider's professional license with Colombia's Secretaría de Salud and relevant professional boards.

02

Malpractice history check

We review professional history for complaints, sanctions, or disciplinary actions before any recommendation.

03

Portfolio review

We collect before/after portfolios specific to the procedures we refer — not general marketing materials.

04

Facility inspection

We evaluate infection-control standards, sterilization protocols, and equipment — especially for surgical procedures.

05

International patient references

We collect and verify references from prior North American and European patients before adding a provider to our network.

06

Ongoing monitoring

Any complaint from a Puente client triggers an immediate review. Providers are removed if standards slip.

What bilingual coordination actually means

  • Your coordinator reads and explains every document in English before you sign anything
  • All clinical communication with your provider runs through us — no miscommunication risk
  • If you have a concern mid-treatment, you can articulate it clearly and get a clear answer
  • Post-trip follow-up and aftercare coordination happen in your language
  • You are never alone in a clinical setting without someone who speaks your language
Bilingual & bicultural

We live in both worlds.

The Puente team is bilingual and bicultural — native to both the US and Colombia. We don't just translate language; we translate the healthcare system, the cultural context, and the unwritten rules of navigating care in a different country.

That means fewer misunderstandings, faster problem-solving, and a guide who already knows the answers before you have to ask.
